Advanced prostate cancer treatment

Prostate cancer is common cancer worldwide now a days.  Today I am going to discussed about advanced prostate cancer treatment.  Mainly prostate cancer metastases to Bone (90% cases). Besides bone it may be metastases to liver, Brain or lung.

How you know it’s advanced:

You have prostate cancer and you are feeling followings:

In case of Bone metastases:

• Intolerable bone pain (Anywhere of the body specially back, lower limb and chest)
• Fatigue
• Weakness
• Can’t even walk

In case of Lung metastases:

• Cough, Sometimes severe
• Respiratory distress

In case of Brain metastases:

• Abnormal behavior
• Headache
• Memory loss
• Patient may go coma

Treatment:

As per NCCN guideline,

ANDROGEN DEPRIVATION THERAPY (ADT) + Doectaxel (sometimes) +

• Abiraterone
• Apalutamide
• Enzalutamide
